Who will be attending this event?
Back2Camp is open to men only 25 years of age and older. We expect 100-150 participants.
Where will the buses be leaving from and what time?
Our chartered luxury buses will be leaving from the the parking lot at the Jolly Miller Tavern at Yonge and York Mills on Sunday August 28th at 2pm sharp. They will return on Tuesday August 30th and arrive at the Jolly Miller at 5:30 pm.
Is Kosher food available?
All food is kosher style and kosher meals are available upon request. We will do our best to accommodate most dietary restrictions.
What will the day program consist of?
The daily schedule will consist of scheduled cabin sports for those who wish to participate, individual sports and multiple optional activities. For those who wish to just relax and hang out, that is always available too. Your schedule is completely flexible!
What will the night program consist of?
The evenings will be filled with poker tournaments, scotch tastings, a special guest comedian and of course special performances by our nightly camp fire.
Can I put a cabin group together?
Yes. If you put a cabin group together, we will keep you all together as a group. Cabin groups may consist of up to 14 participants.
What if I am coming by myself?
If you are coming by yourself you will be placed in a cabin with people of your age group.
Will TUCK be available?
Yes of course or it wouldn't be camp! There will be tuck and snacks available throughout the day.
Where will I be sleeping?
All campers will be sleeping in camper cabins. Each cabin consists of bunk beds, washrooms and sink area. There is a shower house available steps from each cabin. Most cabins are newly renovated and have ample shelving.
What if I need medical attention?
There will be a nurse on site during the duration of your stay. There is a hospital located 15 minutes from camp.
Will there be alcohol served?
There will be alcohol served. If you have a particular favorite, you may wish to bring your own too. Guidelines will be given to all enrolled participants.
Can I bring my own car?
No, all campers are to come up on the camp buses. There is no parking at camp and therefore we must insist that everyone comes up together on our luxury coach buses. Approximate travel time from Toronto is 2.5 hours.
What do I need to bring?
You must bring everything you need for 48 hours other than food. Toiletries, change of clothes, towel, bathing suit, warm layers etc... Each participant must bring their own sleeping bag or bed linens.
Is smoking permitted at camp?
Yes. There are designated smoking areas at camp. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all buildings.
Is there cell service and internet access at camp?
Both Rogers and Bell are available at camp. There are 2 computers available for email inside our camp office. There are pay phones located in the staff lounge.
